About Saltwood Studio

Saltwood Studio was founded with a simple purpose: to create handcrafted pieces that honour memory, craftsmanship, and everyday use. The studio grew from a lifelong appreciation for well-made objects and the belief that quality craftsmanship should endure.

Each piece is made in small batches from solid hardwood and finished entirely by hand. Careful attention is given to proportion, material selection, grain, joinery, and detail.

From heirloom keepsake boxes and memorial pieces to face-grain and end-grain cutting boards, every piece is designed with care, purpose, and longevity in mind.

This is quiet, deliberate work—made to be used, appreciated, and passed from one generation to the next.

Saltwood Studio is the studio practice of Brendan Hanlon, based in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
